Description: Victorian - Burmese SATIN GLASS Uranium Pink & Cream FOOTED VASE 13cm - Exc Description On offer is this outstanding VICTORIAN - Burmese Satin Uranium Glass. c1890's and possibly from American MOUNT WASHINGTON Glass. Very much in the style of Thomas Webb. The vase has a satin finish and the lower section is a creamy yellow with the bowl section a true dusty pink. The bowl section of the vase is lightly free form and the rim fluted - Cauldron shaped with the four feet. The glass used has small amounts of Uranium which causes the vase to glow under a UV light. Dimensions Height approx 13cm (Highest Point) Widest point 12cm No makers mark - however research has led me to believe by American Mount Washington glass. CONDITION: Lovely Antique condition there are no chips, cracks or restoration no exterior scratches or faults - a tiny 0.05 - 1cm scratch to the interior of the vase on the pink rim section. Given the age and quality of the example is easily forgiven and really is not at all detriment to this lovely antique.
