Description: Exceedingly Rare ca. 1917-18 Salz Brothers Army & Navy WWI Trench Pen. In my 27 years in the Pen World, this is maybe the second or third one I’ve seen and by far the finest example. Modeled after a rimmed cartridge. Similar size to the 9.3×74mmR, popular round of the period Ebonite Eyedropper, 98.5 mm. capped. Note: the cap fits over the end of the barrel but does not securely “post” as a typical cap would. I assume this is by design. 14k Fine Salz 2 size nib. Absolutely perfect original color and barrel imprint. To be extremely critical there are a couple insignificantly minute marks in the grip section and one on scratch on cap that could easily be removed with heat but I wouldn’t dare - see images with red arrow - nor should you.
