Barcode and Other Identifiers Other (Side A Label): 21083-A Other (Side B Label): 21083-B * [ we know how to ship 78s ] here's a FULLY PLAY TESTED original Victor VE Victor Electric shellac 78rpm record from circa 1928 that's been cleaned and still has a good deal of shine to it. has some light visual wear [ SEE PHOTOS ] but nothing severe (no chips, cracks or really deep scratches and is in V+ condition. it plays and sounds great for an old 78 with no skips, repeats or serious issues, but does play with some mellow crackle, soft stray pops & typical shellac 'static'. the music is still fairly nice and clear. labels display well and have no stickers, but the do have some light spindle marks and side A label has some wear around edge of spindle hole. visually we would grade this as VG if graded like we grade LPs but in shellac standards, it's a fairly nice copy that plays well * all WhatCheer78s listings start at just $5 and we're happy to start a box for you to combine winnings to save you on shipping. eBay makes this difficult as they profit from charging sellers a percentage of shipping charges, but we'll do our best to work with you to save you $ on shipping. * we grade using the VJM Vintage Jazz Mart grading scale for 78s but since a large number of record buyers and collectors are more familiar with grades usually assigned to LPs and 45s we also reference the grading it would receive in traditional grading. ~ the VJM Record Grading System ~ N = As new and unplayed. N- = Nearly Mint, but has been played. No visible signs of wear or damage. E+ = Plays like new, with very, very few signs of handling, such as tiny sleeve scuffs E = Still very shiny, near new looking, with no visible signs of wear, but a few inaudible scuffs and scratches. E- = Still shiny but without the lustre of a new record, few light scratches. V+ = An average condition 78 in which scuffs and general use has dulled the finish somewhat. Wear is moderate but playing is generally free from distortion. Surface noise not overly pronounced. V = Moderate, even wear throughout, but still very playable. Surface noise and scratches audible but not intrusive. V- = Quite playable still, but distortion and heavy greying in loud passages. Music remains loud in most passages. Surface noise and scratches well below music level. G+ = Grey throughout but still serviceable. Music begins to sound muffled. Heavy scratches. G = Quite seriously worn and scratched, but music level is still higher than surface noise. G- = Music still prominent, but wear and scatch damage extensive. F = Fair condition / Most of music remains audible over surface noise, but listening now uncomfortable. P = Poor condition / Unplayable. * Shipping Rates are for Economy / Cheapest Shipping Option. if you'd like Expedited Shipping, let us know and we'll tell you costs and arrange to change shipping in the invoice for you. from our huge inventory of 78rpm records feel free to write if there's something you're looking for we also have a 78rpm specific Discogs store with hundreds of records listed at fixed prices. search google for What_Cheer_78s Discogs to find these listings. discogs.com/seller/What_Cheer_78s/profile What Cheer Records + Vintage North Providence, Rhode Island whatcheerprovidence.com we pack and ship with care to avoid damage during shipment but if you have any concerns about loss or damage, please request expedited shipping and insurance (costs extra). #WhatCheerProvidence #WhatCheerRecords #WhatCheer78s ...
