Description: Child's violin in very good condition. There is one worn place on the finish, highlighted in blue in the fourth picture. Finish has no other noticeable scratches nor chips. Bow needs re-haired (violin may need new strings also (?)). Case includes carrying strap. 1/4 size, suitable for children 6-8 years old.The head, back and sides of this acoustic violin are all made from wood (unsure what type).The fingerboard, tailpiece, pegs, and chin rest are made from plastic. If you are looking for a professional level violin, this one is not be the best choice. But if your purpose is an inexpensive instrument that can complete the most basic functions of a violin to draw kids' attention, develop interest, form habits and practice before their needs are confirmed by an expert, this may be a good choice for you.
