Description: This auction is for a Farberware Stainless Steel Coffee Percolator, model 138B. This percolator is in excellent condition. I always give the coffee pots I am selling a thorough cleaning (with no hash chemicals used), including the inside of the tubular parts. When I am done cleaning a perked pot of fresh water comes out clean, you would be surprised how brown water can come out from what looks like a “clean pot”. This takes time and effort but I want you to receive a pot that is ready to use. The inside and outside of this pot are very clean. No dings or dents. The inside of the pot has indications punched into the metal for the number of cups, 2, 4, 6 & 8. It comes with a 30”, 2 prong, detachable cord that is in great condition. Made in the Bronx, NY, USA. ***Make sure when you are buying a vintage percolator that it has been tested for the perc temp (185° - 205°) and warming temperatures (min 155°). A pot listed as working just means it is percolating. Percolators thermostats can go bad, about half that I find perc great but do not work at the proper temps. I have tested this percolator with some baking soda in the basket and it is in perfect working condition. It perks a hot pot of coffee at the correct temperature (195°) and I tested the temp after 30 minutes and it is keeping the coffee hot (189°).
