Description: The main route of Contract Air Mail Route 32 was from Seattle to Pasco and return, via Tacoma and Portland (Vancouver Airport), with a spur service from Pasco to Spokane. There was an additional early morning flight eastbound from Portland (Vancouver field) to Pasco to connect with the morning eastbound mail over Contract Air Mail Route 5 from Pasco.Due to heavy smoke from forest fires, the mail out of Pasco for Portland was not flown until September 16, 1929. This cover was carried on the inaugural Contract Air Mail Route 32 flight from Seattle, Washington to Pasco, Washington and is listed in the Contract Air Mail Flights (CAM) section of The American Air Mail Catalogue as 32E5. United Aircraft and Transport Corporation acquired Varney Air Lines during June 1930.
