Description: This is a an exceptional Van Ryper waterline wooden steamship model from the 1930's to 1950's of the R.M.S. Cunard Mauretania in black with red/white trim. The lower side has the thin red & white lines. The model is overall fantastic condition (almost like new) but for a minor bruise on the lower bow section. It is stamped "Van Ryper Vinyard Haven-Mass". It comes with it's original box which is stamped "OLD MAURETANIA" and also with the free standing cardboard label which the model can sit next to which says "OLD MAURETANIA - The OLD Mauretania was the speed queen of the sea for more than 20 years".
