Subsequently, Maria was honored with a TIMMY Award by Talent in Motion Magazine, along with Makeup Artist Duane Sevelin. Following an extensive search, Maria was selected as the Vampirella action hero spokesmodel and cover girl by Harris Comics. She still holds the record for more Vampirella covers than any other model, prior or since. Her action figurine bears a striking resemblance to the flesh and -- dare we say -- blood?
