Description: This is a rare August 24th, 1959 program (playbill) from the two-week, Summer Stock production and American Premiere engagement of the UGO BETTI play "THE QUEEN AND THE REBELS" at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania. (Published in 1949, the first English language production opened October 26th, 1955 at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London where it ran for three months. The first New York production opened February 25th, 1965 at the Off-Broadway Theatre Four where it played only 22 performances. The Original Broadway production would open September 30th, 1982 at New York's Plymouth Theatre and run for only 45 performances.) .....
