Description: Have a (1) used 40lb (now sold as a 110lb @$159) PressurizedAbrasive/Media blaster from Harbor Freight, including blast hood/helmet,gloves, & lots of extra tips. It was purchased for a project that hasbeen completed and I no longer need the blaster. It works well withvarious heavy media types (not for soda), has worked well for my project, andstill has much life left in it. There are a lot of poor reviews for theseunits, it turns out most are due to poor vessel cleanout & sloppy plumbing final assembly. I redid all of the plumbing and cleaned out thehopper and found a large hunk of metal from the service/filler hole in the top,and a small amount of steel debris that I believe is the source of most of thecomplaints about these units (picture provided). It worked flawlessly for me for a largeautomotive restoration project using both glass bead and nickel slagmedia. It does require a filter/water separator with higher capacity forlong-session operation, the dryer on the unit works well, but is quickly filledup with repeated use: I used it as a final catch with a reg/dryer at the airsource, and at the drop point, both with higher capacity. The tankmounted unit was a safety measure to catch any remaining water in the airsystem. I bought two packs of extra tips because the three that camewith the unit were junk and disintegrated quickly. The replacement tipshave been great, and I think I only used an additional two or three from the 1st pack. This unit is too expensive to ship, so pleaseonly Denver/local inquiries.
