It is recommended that the clip be attached to a straight section of track and fastened as close to a cross tie or sleeper as possible. Push down on one of the wire clips and insert a piece of feeder wire that has been has had about a half inch of shielding removed / stripped from its end, and you have a good connection of wire to the track without having to solder. This track terminal clip-on is in very good condition. Although this item was not tested, a thorough examine of it shows that it is intact. Notes about the photos: The first 2 photos were taken of the actual item as it sat on display at a train show. There is a circular sticker on the item while displayed at train shows indicating the price and other information. The first image has been modified to obscure the blue price sticker. The last 2 photos were located online and are provided in modified form without requesting permission from the photo provider. These 2 photos are for reference purposes only. The 3rd photo shows what I believe is the original small vanilla envelope that this item was sold in.
