Description: U.S. Air Force Convair F-102 Delta Dagger patch. The triangular patch measures approximately 3 1/8" across the bottom and 4 1/4” from top to bottom. The exact age of the patch is unknown, but it may be from 1960s. The patch appears to be in excellent used condition with perhaps some very minor fraying and/or loose threads. Although the patch seems to be original, I’m not an expert and it’s possible the patch could be a souvenir or collectible reproduction. A very nice example of a USAF fighter-interceptor patch from the Cold War! The Convair F-102 Delta Dagger, commonly referred to as the “Deuce,” entered service with the USAF in 1956. It was the USAF’s first operational supersonic interceptor and delta-wing fighter. The F-102’s main purpose was to intercept approaching Soviet strategic bombers during the Cold War. The USAF retired the F-102 from service in 1976. Please see photos, as they constitute part of the description.
