Description: Normal 0 Normal 0 This is a real nice high quality, genuine late 70s early 80s vintage Brooks leather motorcycle jacket and was made in the USA. It is in incredible used condition with little, if any, sign of use. It must have spent most of its existence hanging in the closet. The outer leather and inner lining and pocket linings are all in great condition. All the zippers and snaps work as they should, perfectly with no issues. Jacket features: High quality heavy-duty supple leather and craftsmanship made by Brooks in the USA. Detroit MI. It has zip-up sleeve cuffs, two outer zip-up pockets, and one inside map pocket. It has the classic Cafe Racer style collar with Brooks logo-ed collar snaps to hold them together on those fast windy rides. It has a nice inner lining with the option to add an additional removable inner liner. All zippers are the original heavy-duty C&C zippers and all the snaps are the heavy duty snaps with the Brooks logo. This is an all-original vintage Brooks jacket with no patches added or removed. It is as good as you can find anywhere from this era, inside and out. Brooks jackets have become collectible over the years. This one looks to be of an earlier 70s-80s era model, based on the labels, zippers, lining and design. The size label is 40 and it fits like a Medium. Measurements are taken lying flat, zipped up and maybe + or - a little: Arm pit to arm pit 21" Waist side to side 19" Shoulder to shoulder 17" Shoulder to cuff 26" Collar seam down center of the back to bottom hem 26-1/2" This jacket is ready to be put into service at the time of its arrival, nice and clean and ready to go. Brooks Leather from Detroit MI. has been crafting quality motorcycle apparel for over 50 years. This jacket is known for its outer styling, style of label and of its superior quality. Brooks jackets are made in America, by American craftsmen using the finest hides and materials of American origin. This jackets hide was carefully selected, drum dyed and cut by their craftsmen, then assembled in their factories with the finest zippers, snaps, linings and other components, then double stitched using heavy duty nylon thread. That would explain why their earliest jackets are still being used as hard today as when they where new 50 years ago. Brooks was founded in 1960 by an ex-employee of the makers of the famous and very expensive Buco brand, and in a twist of irony, even produced leathers for the Buco label in the early days. Brooks continued to make fine leather quality motorcycle jackets and are still being made and offered to this day. (Or until Read purchased the company some will argue.)
