Description: Military canvas web slings, post WWII through the 1970’s of the type used on every military service rifle of the era (Does NOT work with the M1 Carbine). These were sold surplus from Anniston Army Depot in the 1980's and had been forgotten in the back inventory of a surplus shop since then until I bought them out after the store closed. Photos show typical examples and not necessarily the exact ones you will get, last picture shows just some of the large stock we are pulling these from. Used, so not perfect, but I weed out any bad ones. Some are dirtier than others, some have minor rust on the hardware that can clean off, some have minor rust stains or other stains to the fabric. No cherry picking, I grab them off the top aside from rejecting any that are overly dirty, rusty or missing parts. Some have manufacturers markings, some don’t, some have rifle/butt numbers on labels on the hardware. All are just as they were when removed from the rifles 50+ years ago. I’m actually untying the bundles of 25 that were tied at Anniston Army Depot before these were stored and then sold. They smell like an old supply room, that unmistakable canvas smell. Canvas web body with brass tips on the end and steel buckles. If you want a perfect one for a display rifle, these are not it. If you want a good usable one with some patina that shows the story and looks like they actually did in service, this is your deal. As I have time I will also list some that are cleaned up and have any rust or patina cleaned from the metal, so check my other listings, but those also will be more expensive.
