Description: us issue, parka, air crew, woodland, aramid, fireproof, waterproof, large. ‘culling da herd’ this parka came from a marine veteran friend of mine who was a ch-46 crewman. i am also selling the matching trousers. these are very similar to the us issue ‘ecwcs’ sets that given to our more earth bond service members. this parka was used,but not abused or beat to hell. the only issue at all is some scuffs and 2 small holes and a small tear near the underside of the right cuff, where he rested his arm on the half open cabin door. everything else is in near perfect condition! no other tears, holes, no stains, no smells, dirt. all velcro in perfect strong condition. all zippers work great. all snaps pristine. he was not a smoker and neither am i, simply stashed into his duffel for years then in my closet. these were designed to give an aircrew member a quick weatherproof layer to donn over their ‘onezeez’ whilst hanging out an open helo cabin in crappy weather, or when on the ground wandering around the aircraft helping the pilots preflight and fire ‘er up. this parka is very hearty. it has a thick hung cotton layer so no cold clammy fabric close to you and provide extra warmth and insulation. 2 way front zipper with hearty storm flap and chin guard. cobra style hood that can be stowed in the high mandarin collar, via velcro closers, and zippered off if not needed too. the hood has a stiffened brim and 2 barrel cord lock adjustments. snap slip on rank/rate tab. zipper pit vents. velcro adjustable cuffs. elastic barrel lock hem and interior waist adjustments. hip slash hand warmer pockets with velcro closers. bicep upper arm slanted velcro closed pockets with pen holders inside. reinforced elbows. these are made from flame/flash resistant aramid fabric with a weatherproof fire resistant outside laminate. intended to provide, in theory, a few extra precious moments of protection to allow the crew member to escape a crash. no returns please. free shipping, shipping only to the us although i do use ebay’s global shipping option. feel free to ask any questions and as always, thank you for your interest and possible purchase!
