Description: US Historical Society Pewter Stained Glass Plate 1990 Madonna & Child Christmas This collector plate, from the United States Historical Society, is a stunning addition to any collection. The plate depicts "Madonna and Child" from Washington Cathedral. Crafted in 1990, it features 16 seperate layers of enamels on textured glass to give enhanced color and reflected and refracted light. (Because the colored are fired into the glass, this will never fade). The glass is then surrounded by a lead-free pewter rim and polished to a silver-like luster. Measures approx. 9 3/4" across. Has a registry number and backstamp incised. Comes in its original silver foiled covered box with red "velvet" interior. This vintage piece is perfect for Christmas or any time, and is a must-have for collectors. Add this unique piece to your collection today. Glass has no issues, the pewter might have some minor wear, a light cleaning will make it look new. Comes in its original box with some damage / wear from age, use and storage. From a smoke free home. Item pictured is the item you will receive. S
