This version has several improvements:Parameters can be configured over BLE Bluetooth using an iOS/Android app.One of the most noticeable improvements is that this 2nd generation version 2 adapter's parameters can now be configured over BLE Bluetooth using an app on any iOS or Android phone or tablet. The app will connect to the adapter via BLE Bluetooth and the user can then easily select which parameter to configure.Alternatively the adapter can be configured using AT commands using a standard terminal program such as Putty or Tera Term. However this rather old fashioned way of configuration is not very user friendly, especially because it requires a USB to serial adapter to be able to connect the adapter to a PC for the user to be able to search for the right AT command to set the correct parameter.Supports more data bits and stop bitsWhile older serial Bluetooth adapter usually only supports 6 and 7 data bits and 1 or 2 stop bits, this new version 2 adapter supports 5,6,7 data bits and 1, 1.5 and 2 stop bits, meaning it will be compatible with even more types of serial devices.Easier pairing with slave adaptersThis new version 2 serial Bluetooth adapter has two new functions: the 'one' command and the 'auto' command.
