Description: This is an upcycled curb style link chain bracelet, 7.5 inches long including the clasp, which I have woven dark green velvet ribbon through. The chain was originally from a chain belt and it has a very nice weight and feel. The chain is not tarnished. It is a nice shade of gold. I purchased the belt from an estate sale even though it was broken because making chain bracelets with velvet ribbon threaded through the links has been in the back of my mind for several years now and this chain was the perfect weight, size & color for the project. I simply cut the belt into pieces long enough for the bracelets I wished to make. Then I threaded velvet ribbon--real velvet ribbon, not velveteen--through the links and secured the two ends with a few simple hand sewn stitches on the inside of the bracelet. I added a gold tone lobster claw clasp and a jump ring to the opposite end to make it easy to fasten the bracelet.
