On the rod shaft is written Reelwood Rods, then Carpe Diem Piscantur; meaning - Seize the Day Fishing in Latin, I looked it up.Caramel colored cane, on one flat is the rod number, length and weight, on another flat is a tiny real feather under the varnish.The rod comes with a light-colored bag with the logo sewn on and a 1.5" aluminum tube with threaded cap. I'm not an expert of anything, I find stuff at estate sales and resell, it's just a hobby for me, but time and work driving. Actual weight of this rod assembled is 4.0-onces on my postal scale and wrapped in Chestnut colored silk.
