Description: UNIQUE Novelty Angel & Pillow Cushion Egg Easter Antique Postcard. 1909. Nice This is a UNIQUE and possibly RARE EASTER postcard that is a NOVELTY postcard. The postcard is an ANTIQUE postcard from the early 1900s. The postcard shows an ANGEL with a pallet and brushes, and to the right is a SILK PILLOW style egg in the shape of an egg in a bright red color. Behind it is another oval egg with a night scene and blue "forget me not" flowers. There are stars around the top of the postcard. This is a collector item! It has very good detail, and it is a pleasure to look at. Not many would have been made this way because of all the extra steps needed to produce it. This is truly a unique postcard that is not often seen. The process of making this postcard would have taken a long time, and not many were made this way. The postcard will keep its value! It is very desirable because of how it was made and the age of the postcard. Overall a very nice collector's item. The postcard is POSTED with a cancel of 1909. It was most likely "Printed in Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-15 era). There is writing on the back, and a flag cancel in the front, upside down. The back has a DIVIDED back. This is a BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcard will keep its value! It is sleeved and in good condition. Please note that the postcard has a few creases, edge wear The back has creases and a paper thin, but this does not impact the front. The postcard is still very attractive. Regarding condition, please note that we try to remove damaged postcards from our lots, and only sell those postcards that are worth having in a collection. However, because of the age (over 100 years old!), please expect some creases, cuts, stains, and edge wear on the postcard.
