Description: Undated ca. 1800-1830 Massachusetts Militia Uniform Button Albert MS-19 w/ Shank 24mm, 6.65 grams. A nice Extremely Fine example of this popular cross-collectible which bears the same design as the 1787-1788 Massachusetts Colonial Copper Coins. This is an unexcavated piece with the shank firmly intact. Obverse: "MASSACUSETTS", Indian standing on grassy mound, holding bow with arrow pointing down and Star. Reverse: WARRANTED with wreath and bow, TREBLE PLATED encircled in a double ring. See the last images for condition/sales comps. MS 19 and MS20 are nearly the same with slight variations in design, but appear to have similar value in the market. The AU Example sold by Stacks brought $780 with shank intact. The VF example brought $310 with a missing shank and scratches on the reverse. The example brought to you here is squarely between the two in condition, with shank, no major issues and offered at a very reasonable price. Shipping is free. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thank you!
