WAY before Walthers bought him out, Charlie Ulrich lived right around the corner from me when I was growing up as a kid in the Westchester area of Los Angeles, near LAX. Charlie worked for North American Aviation that was right next to LAX and started his train company in his garage. These cars are not all that rare, but finding them in this condition, brand new, never run is quite the rare thing today! The cars were also available in kit form, but these you see here were factory assembled, as noted on the box ends. The flat cars and the piggy-back trailers are all diecast metal! Nothing is cracked, chipped or broken. These are factory fresh! They all come in their original boxes which are near perfect, please see photos. The Santa Fe car is a bit later and has a two-piece cardboard box insert, while the other two cars have the original one-piece insert. Anyway, these old eyes don't see like they used to, so I ask that you take the time to "ZOOM IN" and look the photos over very closely, to determine for yourself just what we have here.
