Twin dogtooth CALCITE crystal cluster on quartz & Pyrite Mexico 1990's scaleno

Please see all 12 photos (be sure to scroll to see the last 6) This is a CALCITE CRYSTAL CLUSTER with quartz crystals and pyrite that hales from Mexico. The label that is attached to the bottom with Mineral Tack notes "galena" but the dark crystals look somewhat like sphalerite to me. I didn't get a good picture of them but there are several of them on the specimen.The calcite partially coats the quartz with an interesting effect and some of the scalenohedrons are oriented perpendicular to the prisms of the quartz. The calcite also is growing on the pyrite cubes and the whole thing is just very interesting. There are some large calcite crystals but there are hundreds of very tiny calcite crystals with dog tooths and twins galore. This is from the estate collection of Drexel Pitts of Macon, Georgia. This has an old Time & Space label and I will make a custom Dixie Euhedrals label with the Pitts Collection provenance. That dealer/company is defunct as I live in Georgia and have never heard of them. Drexel did most of his buying in the late 80's and very early 90's. Some of his earliest items was from 1978 and few items in his collection is newer than 1993 so it is a safe bet that this was purchased close to 30 years ago if not older. Drex had a respectably widely varied mineral collection but with an emphasis on calcite and he had many calcite specimens from a wide range of localities.
