Description: An additional variant of the previously issued Me-262A1a but with attached R4M rocket (newly tooled) and full fuel tanks. The R4M rocket, nicknamed the Orkan (German, meaning "Hurricane") due to its distinctive smoke trail when fired, was the first practical anti-aircraft rocket. It was developed by the Luftwaffe during World War II, and used operationally for a brief time just prior to the end of the war. In the post-war period the R4M served as the pattern for a number of similar systems, used by almost all interceptor aircraft during the 1940s & '50s. Kit consists of 409 parts on 12 sprues, plus metal landing gear, photo etched parts and a film instrument panel. Markings are for Me-262A-1a 9/KG(J)54.
