Description: Here we have a fully reconditioned Triumph TR3B, and TR4 4 speed gearbox. This fits the cars from 1962 to 1964. It has the deep starter housing and is fitted with a new reverse switch on the top cover. This transmission has the all synchro gear set. This transmission has the side fill plug type main case for checking the oil level and filling the transmission. This has the thinner bell housing flange for the TR3 B and TR4 bolts to the bell housing. This transmission was completely disassembled, cleaned and inspected. All the normal wear items - seals, gaskets, bearings, synchros, layshaft, circlips, etc. were replaced with new. This is fitted with the longer cluster gear bearings for improved reliability and longer life. This also has a new 2nd gear Bronze "top hat" bushing - a common failure point on these transmissions. All other parts were checked for proper clearances and condition. The unit was reassembled and reclearanced to factory specs. The unit was then bench tested for function. We are selling this outright, with no core exchange required. This is sold without the clutch cross shaft, fork and pin. You reuse these parts from your old transmission.
