Description: TRAVEL AIR 2000 American Biplane 1920’s 8 x 10" Photo. Wichita, Kansas Vintage. Really nice 8x10 black & white photo of a Travel Air 2000. Travel Air was one of the early airplane manufacturers in Wichita, Kansas. They started in 1924 and in 1934 merged to become Curtis-Wright. The original partners were Clyde Cessna, Walter Beech and Lloyd Stearman. I believe this model is the 2000, although it is not noted on the photo. The photo was taken by Edgar Smith, photographer, also of Wichita. There is a small old crease in the lower left corner.
