Top left button is start, top right is reset and the one below it is pause. Functions great on nearly all 5200 games. Only games that I've noticed don't work well because the analog stick is self-centering or too sensitive are: Centipede, Gorf, Missile Command, Star Wars - The Arcade Game and Super Breakout. I would just use the original joystick for those.
