Description: Vintage TONKA Rovin' Wrecker, "Tonka Towing 24 Hours," Model 2202. Copyright on box says 1990, so this is a newer and seemingly harder-to-find version of the one that came out in 1983. Truck is primarily tan with red accents. Cab body is made of steel. Toy measures approximately 14"L x 7.5"H x 6"W. 12 oz soda can shown for relative size. In its original half-carton with retail sticker. The prior owner, my dad, wrote his date of acquisition and purchase price on the bottom. It's been stored in a basement for the past three decades. The visible decals are mostly holding firm, but a couple of bubbles are evident and the red ones that are supposed to resemble the lights on the cab top are curling at the edges. Cab interior is dusty due to the sky roof being open perpetually. There's a nick in the tan finish on the passenger side just in front of the boom base (visible in the photo of the boom, lower right quadrant). Carton has held up well for its age, but it is by no means perfect. Edges show wear; some discoloration. See all photos. A TONKA in its original carton for only $19.99. What a deal!
