This group of vintage white heart glass beads are a mix of glowing bright red tonal colors - bright tomato reds and deep cherry reds. They are estimated to be about 20-80 years old, mixed with some old and some newer white heart beads The name white heart beads refer to their opaque white glass inside and the outside is a milky translucent colored glass. This 2-layered process of making white hearts began in 1800s in Venice starting with ancient beads known as Cornaline D' Aleppo. This unique way of making these white inside with translucent color on the outside produces a much brighter color that appears translucent and glowing.
