Description: TONA COMPANY - established here in Johnston R.I. by Anthony Angeli in 1979. Before opening his own company he was a designer for CORO working in their high end department called VENDOME. For your consideration today is a beautifully constructed red/orange flower brooch. The piece measures approximately 2" x 2" and weighs in at a substantial 24 grams - just shy of one full ounce. The piece has depth and is well delineated. Color of the enamel is bright and clean as well as the high polish gold tone metal used to delineate the flower. The back is clean and the hallmark TONA can be seen on the reverse. The brooch has been in my collection since the early 80s and has been kept in a closed box in a pet and smoke free environment.
