Description: First edition, fifth printing hardcover copy of Tithe by Holly Black (Simon & Schuster, 2002). Book one in the dark young adult fantasy series, Modern Faerie Tales. Increasingly scarce and collectible first edition with original OOP cover art. An ex-library copy with related markings - stamps to endpapers, title page and outer edge of text block, front endpaper cut out, blemishes to top/bottom edges of boards where jacket was once taped down, general wear to boards and text block from handling, piece of rear jacket flap cut out near base of jacket. Bumps/tears to board corners and edges. Spine is slanted and binding apparently repaired at some point causing text block to sit a bit uneven. A few pages with wavy area at top edge from slight liquid exposure. Rear endpaper has some shallow cuts and tears from sticker removal. Tanning pages. See photos for condition.
