The stripes look darker in the pictures than they really are. They are dark green, but not green-black. Perfect for upholstery , window shades, pillows, dust ruffles, etc. Could be used for curtains. Washing removes some of the stiffness and also brightens it up a bit. The fabric has light wrinkling throughout that washes out easily; can be machine washed. The last picture shows the fabric before washing and after washing. The other pictures show the fabric ironed before it has been washed.
