Description: THORENS TD-520 PROFESSIONAL TURNTABLE. USED CONDITION. STANDARD SHIP. Excellent working condition and sounds wonderful. Comes with a nice Grace cartridge LC-OFC Value ($600) and a used stylus which still sounds amazing but over time the stylus is no longer perfectly straight so you can decide if you need a new stylus. We are still using the original stylus because it still sounds wonderful and a replacement Grace stylus would be expensive. Dust cover is in very nice condition with some minor marks and or scruffs. The two-piece platter, cast of nonmagnetic zinc alloy, weighs just under 7 pounds. The main platter rests on a smaller platter that is driven by the belt. Stroboscope markings underneath the driven platter are illuminated by a neon lamp and are visible through a window on the top of the motor board. The TD 520 is a large turntable. Its base is made of heavy wood for acoustical damping, and it is supported on rubber feet. The external power transformer is connected to the record player by a cable about 6 feet long; the transformer plugs directly into a wall socket. The TD 520 is a superb turntable, about as good as they come in respect to low flutter and rumble and with extremely good acoustic isolation. The operating controls of the TD 520 are distributed across its front surface. During play there is no mechanical connection between the tonearm and the rest of the system except, of course, the stylus/groove contact. The Thorens TD 520 measures 21-5/8 inches wide, 16-3/8 inches deep, and 6-7/8 inches high with its clear-plastic hinged dust cover lowered. It weighs 33 pounds. Professionally packaged, insured and includes tracking. No PO Boxes. No accessories only what you see. No manual but you can find them online. Thank you.
