Description: Staffordshire purple bat painted cup and saucer set with silver luster rims by Thomas Wolfe, Factory Z. While it is not marked, and I could not find a pattern, the tea cups match known Thomas Wolfe cups, and the pattern is similar to known patterns. There are some small chips on saucer edge. There is wear to silver luster on rims. There is a crack on the saucer that is visible on the front. There is also light crazing on saucer and cup. Circa 1784 to 1818. Georgian period earthenware. Approximate measurements: the saucer is 5 3/4 inch diameter and 1 inches tall. The cup is 3 1/2 inches in diameter and 2 1/8 inches tall. Bute form cup.
