Description: SIGNED Thomas Webb & Sons Mother of Pearl Air-Trap Verre de Soie Glass This wonderful Victorian air-trap aka Verre de Soie glass is either a tumbler or a small vase. How this was made is open to speculation, although it may have been made using fine colored glass straws placed in the valleys of a fine rubbed dip mould that are picked up from the mould on a parison and then cased. Very similar to the Stevens & Williams Verre de Soie, but this example is signed with the Webb acid etched mark. Beautifully polished pontil on the base with the signature within. I have a matching piece that's signed on eBay item number: 284279598175 Size ~ 3-1/2" tall Condition: There's one open bubble in the center visible in photo #4, and there's a spot on the rim that divots, appears to be as made, but mentioned for accuracy. The handling fee covers eBay mandated insurance, packing supplies, etc. I strive to get all fives in my eBay seller feedback, and work hard to achieve that. I gladly leave positive feedback to those that give high fives feedback. Thanks for looking, please ask questions, good luck! LOC: BX02
