On the first night, Anne manages to get herself fired by Tony, but Rocco insists that she returns. She does and after a brief period makes herself the most useful and popular member of the club, helping busboy Hussein Mohammed (Rafael Campos) pass his algebra examination and dancer Patsy St. Clair (Neile McQueen) to get a stove to cook on. But she can't win over Tony, who takes a love 'em and leave 'em approach to women, which makes her furious. When Anne and Tony fight, however, sparks also fly, and the two soon find themselves in love--and in a mess with another club run by rival gangsters.
