Description: Thermal Dynamics plasma cutting system. Includes 2 ea. 500 amp power supplies, a 200 series water cooler, a box of cables and coolant lines with a machine torch head. This system has never been used. It is rated for cutting 3-inch steel with 1 500 amp power supply, and cuts 6-inch steel with both 500 amp power supplies hooked together. The U.S. Government purchased a number of these units in the late 1980s or early 1990s for various facilities; I'm not sure how many ever went into service. The cost of this package was around $55,000 at that time. We purchased one for our fabrication shop and never set it up, and this system has been in covered storage for many years now.
