These are previously owned antique books. They are in good to very good condition for their age, but, like most used books, they have flaws and I want you to be aware of them before you make your purchase. Please see all the pictures and note that this particular set has: bent cover corners scuffed cover corners scratched/scored coversstained coverssome water damage to the Francis Bacon book (there is no mold) (see 18th and 19th photos) shelf-wear along the cover edges shelf-wear along the bottom and/or top of spine edgesa tear to the top of the spine of Hegel (see 17th photo)some tearing along the inside cover hinge of a couple of the books (see 10th photo)some damaged tissue guards some bent / creased pages a few torn pages (primarily due to poor cutting of the pages by original owner) (see 12th photo)the first 7 pages of Aristotle having underling and writing in the margins (I saw no other writing/underlining in any of the other books) (see pages 14, 15, and 16) some stains general dirtiness age toning no dust jackets In addition, while these books are currently in a smoke-free environment, it seems they may have been owned by a smoker in the past. Some of the smell still lingers when they are opened. I try to give a very thorough description, but it's possible I missed something.
