Description: This is a fantastic 8x10 vintage glossy photograph that has been autographed by the late, great Margaret Hamilton, who portrayed the Wicked Witch of the West in the film classic The Wizard of Oz (1939). This was autographed for Mike Mikicel, a Canadian fan who became friends with Hamilton and Ray Bolger and visited them in the 1970s. In a perfectly inspired inscription, Hamilton wrote: "I'll Auntie Em you, my pretty...WWW and Margaret Hamilton." The elderly actress wrote it out in black marker pen which has held up beautifully. It gets no better ! Additionally, the photograph itself is one of the few surviving shots from never before seen cut "Thorpe" footage before Garland and Hamilton's looks were altered. Of course, the ebay watermark "screengems" does not appear on the item. I'm happy to include a signed Letter of Provenance if the purchaser requests. Note: this is not a preprint or reprint of any kind....this is the actual autographed photo up for auction. Mega-RARE Free shipping.
