He is the author of Memorys Wake (Spuyten Duyvil Press), a retelling of his mothers childhood trauma growing up in the burnt-over district of central New York state, as well as a number of academic articles and books. He recently completed an MFA in creative practice in Berlin and works in a range of media; his art can be found at derekowens.net. He continues to teach at St. Johns University, where hes been a professor since 1996. Caroline Golden is known for her multi-dimensional, meticulously hand-cut collages and assemblages. Fables, myths and folktales are often the inspiration of her surreal compositions. Shown in galleries since 1998, her collages are in collections worldwide, and she has lectured on fairytales in conjunction with her work and their relevance today.
