Description: The Thinker, Vexed Blackburn, Jean-louis Product Overview These poems are inspired by the experiences that I have had while traveling around the world. Writing is a good way to process my thoughts and feelings about the events of both love and war. Iâ ve always wondered what â The Thinkerâ by Rodin was thinking and how it must feel to spend that long thinking. I figured if has been sitting there that long, whatever he has on him mind must really be vexing him. At least, if I had something on my mind for that long, I would be rather vexed, so I feel that I can identify with him, hence the title. Many of these poems are in memory of some great person whom I have known or studied, even though I do not always name that person. They are whom I call my heroes, persons whose story is worth entering into the historical record through poetry. Even though when I write a poem, I have no particular agenda in mind, now that they are collected into a volume, my hope is that they will put a vibrant human face on the human experience.
