Description: KEROUAC, JACK. The Subterraneans. New York: Avon, 1959. First Paperback Edition. From the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film studio library with their ink stamps and ink notations to the front endpapers, their ink stamp to the bottom edge and their library label to the outside edge. This is a terrific association copy as it was used by MGM in producing their 1960 film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s novel starring Leslie Caron, George Peppard, Janice Rule and Roddy McDowell. directed by Ranald MacDougall. Bound in the publisher's illustrated stiff paper wrappers. Very good. The wrappers are lightly rubbed and a bit worn, with a short closed tear to the front wrapper. Attractive copy with an excellent association.
