Description: Original chromolithograph mounted on quarto paper from 1st edition The Library Shakspeare published by William Mackenzie, London, undated but believed to have been printed between 1870 and 1880. Scene from Merry Wives of Windsor, Act I, Sc. I, titled "Sir John Falstaff on a Visit to his Friend Page, at Windsor" drawn by George Cruikshank (b. 1792 - d. 1878). Both lithograph and original paper mounting are clean and in excellent condition for their age. The lithograph is supplied loose with mount and backing card in a cellophane wrapper and will be dispatched in a cardboard backed envelope.
