Description: For sale is an antique sterling silver creamer & sugar. This was made by the Famed "Kalo Shop", an arts and crafts maker of various types of jewelry and hollowares. These are not actually documented on the chicago silver site (as far as I could tell), both are numbered 206P. The creamer is approx 4" x 2 1/2" while the sugar is approx 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" and both weigh together around 206 grams. They both have a mark which reads "HAND / WROUGHT / STERLING / KALO". The dating for this mark is unspecified, but I would ASSUME it is from around 1930 as it was purchased alongside the other piece with the 1930s mark, but it could be earlier or later. They are quite elegant with a hammered finish. Note that one piece has a shallow ding (see image) which is not hugely noticeable, but could be easily smoothed by an expert. This is a great example of American arts & crafts silver and would be the centerpiece of any collection!
