Description: Selling is: The HISTORY Of Our FLAG This is a small advertising piece made by the Laura Secord Candy Shop. I’m guessing it is from the 1950s. This is a folded page with a colour Union Jack inside, which unfolds into the three crosses, the component parts of the flag (St. George, St. Andrew and St. Patrick crosses). Text explains how the flag evolved and there is a poem about Canada. There is a map of part of Ontario and Quebec showing locations of Laura Secord shops. On the back is an illustration of a row of RCMP officers mounted on their horses, with a Union Jack flag on a flagpole. Folded up it is 5.25” x 2.75” _______________________________________________________________________________________ Please note the flat-rate shipping for my advertising pages.
