The Samuel Taylor play (based on the book by RObert Fontaine) opened in NYC on 01/24/50 and ran for 614 performances. The front features artwork, cast and production credits credits, title, threatre credit and performance dates and schedule. The back contains Rodgers & Hammerstein backgrounds, a short synopsis and cast. The cast includes Claude Dauphin, Richard Hart, Leora Dana, Eva Gabor (Broadway debut), Edgar Stehli, Johnny Stewart, Kurt Kasznar, Mary Aurelius, Gage Clark, Marlene Cameron, James O'Rear and Oliver Cliff. Produced by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. Directed by Robert Lewis. This is NOT a reproduction!! Heralds are advertising flyers that are placed at theatres and sometimes included in Playbills and programs. Sizes vary but most of the older ones are 6 x 9 1/2 inches. Brochure style heralds can be one sheet or multi folds and measure about 3 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches. Condition is near excellent with minor wear. International purchases are subject to a $2.00 handling fee. CONDITION: I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality: Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. Good means just that: desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade. Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders. Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear. All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition. IMAGES: I use a digital camera so the entire piece is visible.
