Description: Lot of 6 issues of THE FULCRUM: STUDENT PUBLICATION OF ARMOUR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, Chicago, Illinois. Medium softcovers, roughly 9 x 6 inches in size. This is an incomplete set of 6 issues from 1904 to 1905. Most of the issues are around 30 pages in length. Good condition. There's edge-wear, dust-soiling and a few creases to the covers of some of the issues. Some of the covers have foxing along the edges. Occasional dust-soiling, a bit of foxing, edge-wear, etc., to the pages, most of which are quite clean and unmarked. One issue has a one-page insert laid-in at the back. The bindings are still firm. Each issue has a certain "theme" (football, chemical, mechanical, Christmas, commencement, architecture) and consists of numerous short articles (though not all the articles revolve around the particular theme). Illustrated with black and white photographs and drawings, some of which are quite interesting. For example, photographs of the school football team (see the last photo). A scarce title. The issues included: November 18, 1904 (Vol. VIII, Number 3): "Football Number".December 13, 1904 (Vol. VIII, Number 4): "Christmas 1904".January 18, 1905 (Vol. VIII, Number 5): "Mechanical Number".April 13, 1905 (Vol. VIII, Number 8): "Chemical Number".May 11, 1905 (Vol. VIII, Number 9): Architecture and Fire Protection Number".June 7, 1905 (Vol. VIII, Number 10): "Commencement Number".
