Description: Printed by Bensley Andover and published by the author 1829, and 'sold by all booksellers'. Small octavo 7.25" x 4.25"Pages - not numbered, c275-300In-text illustrations. Condition. The binding is very good and original; front seam beginnng to open at the top but otherwise the hinges are intact and very firm; the original leather boards have very minor blemishes only and a nice polished patina. The spine has its original title label with gilt writing. Internally the end pages have moderate foxing and there is occasional light foxing but not heavy. Two of the preliminary pages have corner nibbles. There is no Frontispiece in this copy, I am unsure whether there should be. A good early copy of this classic.
