Yes, they do take turn into some country rock vibes, like on ‘Bad City Ways’, but once you make the turn to Side Two, there’s a positive shift with consistently quality cuts. The band work in some solid tunes full of rock, funk and psych vibes – ‘A Song Is Born’ is probably the best track with its psychedelic flourishes. The organ plays a prominent role in the swirling ‘I Love You’ and there’s an aggressive organ solo in the funky party rocker ‘Let Me Get Straight Again’, another album standout. ‘Peace For A Change’ is just a good mid-paced period rock song.
