Description: This is The Byrds’ fourth album & arguably their best. Released in February 1967, the album preceded Sgt. Pepper & the summer of love. A great experimental record dealing with tape loops, electronic effects, country, blues, bluegrass & folk brought out the best from Crosby, Hillman & McGuinn in terms of songwriting & musicality. A concerted effort by all. This Audio Fidelity release is in mono & mastered by Steve Hoffman. Mono was the preference of the day as stereo was more of a novelty in the rock community in the 1960s. The release was a numbered limited edition in 2011. The number is #1563 seen clearly on the bottom left of the slipcover. Condition of disc, slipcase, jewel box are all near mint, closer to mint actually. Thanks for looking. 😎
